DIRECTOR STATEMENT

Special Delivery is about challenging perceptions of location. I had the idea to set the film in Thamesmead, an area often only seen in violent or dystopian films such as 'A Clockwork Orange' or social issue dramas, so seeing it portrayed in a positive way would be a different angle. I was also keen to tell a story without dialogue - again going against genre conventions but also to create something purely visual and cinematic.

Robert is an award-winning writer/director working across short films, music videos and features. His films have screened in over 100 international film festivals including Dinard, Rhode Island, Short Shorts & Asia and Leeds International Film Festival.
